Bought these as we have a very long 3 people kayak.They are very easy to fix on the car, just open the bonnet and place the "Tube" inside and keep he loop outside, close it and you are good to go.Same thing on the boot.They are sturdy and durable so far used them 3 times for long journeys

These are really useful straps for attaching my kayak to the car securely. The only negative point is that the rubber section is hollow and compresses, and that allows it to start to slip between the closed surfaces. It would be far better if this were a solid non-compressible cylinder of rubber. They can probably be reinforced with a short length of bamboo or similar inside, but I've not actually been fussed enough yet to try that. They get used weekly though and have helped hold an 18' sea kayak securely on the roof for over 2000 miles of driving in the past few months.

Two parts: Strap seems strong enough and well stitched. The strap is threaded through a flexible rubber tube, so only a cm or so of rubber is actually restraining the strap. Maybe the car will grip the strap, but I doubt it would be tight enough.So the home upgrade - a bit of bamboo fixed down the tube (inside the strap loop) would add a great deal of resistance, a bolt even more.

No more searching for anchor points. Make your own. Worked great on my car securing a kayak front and rear. Just opened the hood and trunk and slipped the loops thru as I closed them. Made great tie down points for 60mph security.

These worked amazing for transporting the canoe. We were able to loop tie-downs through the holders and everything worked as advertised! First trip was a 5 hour saga - the canoe never moved a bit.

These hooks to put in the hood and the back end of my vehicle worked great! My Kayak was very stable in place along with my portable rack tie downs on top of the vehicle no movement going 55mph. Great product.

What's not to like, works with pretty much any car, just close the hood/trunk on them, and you can run your rope/straps through it to easily secure the boat.

I used to tie-down with just ratchet straps which would inevitably scratch my car. With these loops, no more scratches. If you're putting stuff on top of your car multiple times, this saves a few steps. Seem sturdy enough.
