Finally a E12 base bulb that gives off descent light. The white color has good brightness and can be "warmed" up nicely. The colors are of course not as bright as the white but more than most bulbs I've encountered.

Directions do not match the product or the app. The bulbs would not connect to anything. I know these aren't real expensive bulbs, but come on. Regardless of price, the product should work.Regret buying these and will be returning asap.

I used these bulbs for a chandelier type fixture. The colors are pretty good and vibrant, but the control is slightly clunky when compared to hue. The price is the big draw. For the cost, these are an excellent alternative to the hue brand.

I have been using SmartHome products for more than 10 years, very close to when they started being produced and widely used. A few years later, I began testing, reviewing and writing about these products for several non biased comparison sites. Due to the experience within this particular area I have a broad base of knowledge within the Smart Lighting arena.There are several considerations that need to be taken into account when choosing the appropriate Smart Bulb for a particular situation.For many years candelabra Smart Bulbs simply did not exist so when they were released in this E12 size I was excited to test them out.As with all SmartHome, IoT products they operate on the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. There is a reason for this - 5 GHz is not newer while 2.4 GHz older - they operate differently. Nearly every router broadcasts in both signals. 5 GHz is faster but does not reach as far in distance as 2.4 GHz. SmartHome, often referred to as IoT (Internet of Things) products do not require much bandwidth but because they are typically placed at locations far from the source of the WiFi signal having the distance capabilities of 2.4 GHz is required. In my years of testing and reviewing these products I have found sometimes it’s helpful to have separate network names for the 2.4 GHz and the 5 GHz bands, this will allow you to log in to the 2.4 GHz band during setup without interference from the 5 GHz. Alternatively you can go into your router settings and temporarily turn off the 5 GHz signal broadcast during setup. Making sure you are logged in to the 2.4 GHz band during setup will save you a great amount of time and frustration whenever working with any SmartHome or IoT products, not just these bulbs.I have experienced zero issues with these bulbs. Considering they are E12 candelabra style bulbs they emit a great light. Frankly I’ve been very impressed by their luminosity. The colors are rich, vibrant and virtually limitless. The color of white light can be controlled from warm to cool which is a nice feature not always present.I have been using the “Smart Life” app for several years as it controls a great number of different smart bulbs. The app is easy to use, intuitive and quick to learn. It interfaces easily with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Siri and IFTTT - but not currently Apple Home Kit. Setting up scheduling, changing colors, grouping and controls are all easy to manage.When purchased as a 6 pack these bulbs end up costing around $10 each which is an outstanding price for SmartHome bulbs. I have been testing this set of six within 2 chandelier style lamps, each utilizing 3 bulbs, for the last 3 months with absolutely no issues. Once connected I’ve never had to reconnect. Having a strong mesh WiFi network makes a huge difference in regards to connection issues.I have thoroughly been impressed with every aspect of these bulbs and have recommended them a few times to friends looking for this size SmartHome bulb.This is an outstanding set of SmartHome bulbs at an incredible price. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this product.
