Interesting read!!

This is an excellent book. I'm in the process of researching the great A1/A1 A2/A2 debate. It seems over the years that cow milk has slowly been dominated by the A1/A1 genetics. The claim is that A2/A2 milk is more easily digestible by humans. It sounds like a plausible concept considering humans, and goats produce A2/A2 milk. Certain breeds of cattle such as Guernsey still mostly produce the A2 genetics. I will say that in my experience that raw milk is easily digestible whether it's A1, A2, or a mix of A1/A2. I think pasteurization, and homogenization is the problem. Still, if there's a chance that A2/A2?is more easily digestible that's what I want for my family. My concern on the validity of the study stems from the A2 company that funded the study. There's a conflict of interest with the study being done by those who profit from it. I wouldn't solely rely on the A2 company's word. Do your own research. I will say that humans and goats have the A2 milk.

very credible, well written, in spite of the missing letters lol in the text...

a true wakeup call. When I first found out about A1/A2 milk, I had been ill for 70 years. I was a preemie and I was fed formula... made me gluten intolerant, fructose intolerant, spent months in mental institutions... I got well when I stopped drinking milkThe guy, the author is credible. He wants nothing from you, nothing to sell, no desire to be the whistleblower... I love this book. I recommend it to all my clients

Interesting science for people intolerant of milk.

Interesting information and the science behind the A1 /A2 milk craze. Basically the book claims most milk causes inflammation like issues due to recent mutations in the cows used for milk production. It offers an alternative (A2) milk which is what nature intended.

Great!

After reading both "whitewash" and "your life in your hands" that both slate dairy products, but in reality try to promote a vegetarian lifestyle I found this little book. It is really interesting to read the science behind A1 and A2 casein and make any decisions about eating dairy or not more informed. I enjoyed the way information was presented. I have added some sheep yogurt in my diet and I feel stronger these days and that my calcium intake got better.

NOT RECOMMENDED, A WASTE OF TIME

A waste of time, not recommended. I was looking for a book that would go into the serious issue of A1/A2 milk, and based on the good reviews purchased it. This book is someone's thesis paper and is impossible to read. The book provides no argument or states a case for A1 vs A2 milk. It is full of words like "theoretically", "hypothesized, "probably", and "possibly" and provides no conclusion. A waste of my time and money.

One day, the toxic nature of A1 milk will ...

One day, the toxic nature of A1 milk will be common knowledge. Be one of the leading first and read this book along with Devil in the Milk by Keith Woodford.

Become an informed consumer.

Excellent summary. In 20 years when the dairy industry has converted their herds to A2, there will be no A1 milk for sale. Until then they will market A1 as a healthy food.

wow! fascinating

Immensely thought provoking book. Cows milk has long been a suspect trigger behind type 1diabetes and this book explains why. Will also be of interest to anyone with other auto immune conditions and also parents of difficult kids. It was this book that first introduced me to the leaky gut idea. There is a lot to learn here even if you don't think that milk is a trigger. Not 100% convinced myself that it is (and certainly it's not the only one) but the theory is intriguing.a1 and a2 simply refer to different breeds of cow, a2 being more ancient breeds and the ubiquitous black and white cows being a1. Their milk is subtely and potentially crucially different.I now hedge my bets by sticking to a2 labeled milk (newly launched in the uk - Morrison's carry it) and jersey milk - jersey and guernsey cows being a2. Ideally I'd like to give up milk completely but it's a guilty pleasure. We simply don't need dairy and there are other reasons good to avoid it if you care to do proper reasearch and think for yourself e.g. it is in no way vital for good bone health and fact is quite the reverse (look at all the bone diseases in countries with high dairy consumption and lack of bone disease in countries that dont consume dairy which is most Asian countries owing to their widespread lactose intolerance). This is a fascinating little book that will stick in your mind and will be an interesting thread in your views about how to live much more healthily.

Interesting and Concerning.

You need to have a leaky gut or intestinal problems to allow the potential proline through so only a minority are at risk some of the time, but as stress can cause intestinal problems maybe this could happen more often these days than in previous generations. Symptom are very similar to the K2 factor deficiency described in Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox, as K2 is found in milk, butter and cheese from pasture fed Guernsey cows as well as being A2 milk, and K2 deficiency seems to cause the same problems.

try alpro instead

Cows milk can be damaging to the brain. What we thought was good for our health for decades can actually be harmful. Great scientific portrayal of how cows milk is a no no.

'Book'

Junk. Typical of the vanity publishing industry. A lot of petty point scoringBut some truth it. I'd already switched to A2 milk - available in good full-sized supermarkets - and beaten my milk intolerance. I knew the science and binned this trashy book.
