Keeping it Cool
This is my second replacement fan for my MSI GE70 laptop computer. The first time, I dropped the laptop and broke the fan. This time, it simply wore out. I love my old MSI (2014) and if I can keep it running and operating at optimal temps for a few dollars every couple of years, then I'll all about that! This fan matches perfectly the OEM fan that came in the laptop and works exactly the same. The last one lasted 27 months.

Do not purchase, it will destroy your computer.
I ordered 2 of these laptop fans because my laptop is old enough that I was not sure I would be able to find them still a few years from now, and the bearing was starting to go bad in my existing laptop fan. Both fans were faulty were causing an electrical short in my laptop. After installing the first fan, I tried to use the turbo setting on the msi laptop to verify that the fan was fully functional. This allowed me to discover that the fan was not spinning up like expected, so I checked my hardware monitoring software, and then had to immediately shut down my laptop. With less than ten percent cpu and ram usage, my temperatures were reporting over 90 Celsius after being on just a few.minutes. when I felt the bottom of my laptop, the area below the fan was the hottest part of the computer. The fan was in an electrical short causing it to heat up instead of spinning properly.I turned off the laptop and pulled off the back to verify what was happening, and turned it back on. Rather than spinning properly, the fan was starting and stopping, which is a sign that the motors are either burned out or not wired correctly, combined with the extreme temperatures, I concluded that the fan moter had a short.Luckily I had bought two fans, and could use the other one, but no that fan had exactly the same problem. So now I have put the old fan back in my laptop, it still works correctly and the temperature is stable, it just has an occasional rattle from the failing bearing. I will not be ordering a replacement from here again, and I strongly suggest no one else buys one either. If it has the same problem and you fail to catch it, it could fry your system.

Moderate power for a low price
Looks exactly the same as my GP70-2PE laptop's fan, had all the right numbers, the right frame, everything, but it's not quite as powerful. Just grabbed my laptop from the place I normally store it, realized it was on when it shouldn't have been, and it was stuck at the BIOS. The SSD had stopped responding due to the heat because it had some thick fabric over the vent. Usually, it'd just be worryingly warm if I made that kind of mistake, but this was dangerously hot. It also runs much hotter when playing games. I guess that's why it says CPU instead of CPU/GPU.

Wonderful Replacement
Perfect model for the replacement I needed for my MSI GP70 2PE Leopard (shares the same part with the GE60). Quiet and harder workering than the original, this part saved me $1000! The shipping was slow, but it was worth it to be able to have a working computer!

Picture and item are different.
Spent a great deal of time looking specifically for an N039 fan like the one pictured. ordered it and we received an N285. The connector matches and it fits the slot so I am going to give it a try. This could be a 5 star fan but its not what I ordered.

Works fine, fits inside as expected
Works fine, fits inside as expected. Cools about as well if not better than the previous faulty fan. Make sure to keep note of the size, , pins and product numbers to be absolutely sure you get a fan that works for you.

Fan that blows
My CyberPower laptop's fan shot the bucket. The part not number matched but the mounting bracket was different. It required a swapping of the 'tops' but once installed has worked flawlessly.

Loud and Clunky
I purchased this fan because my old fan was starting to get loud and was concerned it was getting ready to go out. I installed it, threw the old one in the trash, and then fired up my MSI GE70 laptop only to find that the new fan was LOUDER than the old one. It's so bad I've pulled the old one out of the trash and re-installed it! Funny thing is, this is the 2nd fan replacement on my laptop and the last one I installed 3 years ago was the exact same model and brand. Either the quality control has gone WAY down, or someone slapped a sticker on this sub-par fan. I suggest you find a different place to purchase this laptop fan.
