Great tool
Great tool, exactly what I needed. Good quality.

Cracking tool for price.
Works really well especially finding cables at suprizing distances. This has saved me hours of work. Make sure the 9v batterys that power it are good or it appears to be faulty, keep a spare set with you.

Flimsy but very useful
The tool feels cheap and nasty but for the price it is well worth it as professional version would cost ten times more. I have a boundary signal cable running around my property and it became broken in the woods. I could not find the break but this tool enabled me to locate it. Where the cable was underground the signal was weak and hence a very quiet tone in my ears and I found it difficult to follow the cable when there was any disturbance such as the noise of a car going past or plane flying over.

Cheap quality but does work
So this tester is made from cheap plastic, it feels cheap, it looks cheap and I imagine it will probably eventually break in my tool kit, but it was cheap and it does actually work very well. You get what you pay for and I am happy with this purchase.

The instructions are close to useless. English is bad and illogicalEverything I did was trial and error.

Good bit of kit
Great little tester, has made my working life so much easier

Poor poor quality
I should have known when I unpacked the tester and there are spelling mistakes on the tracer itself. The elastic holder material was ripped inside the case, and when I inserted the batteries and tried to trace it made a loud audible noise at first then went warbling and didn’t detect ( even on a cable I knew was intact and identified ) I changed the batteries in both units and no difference so I am returning them.
