how to clean it for reuse
easy to use. No instructions came with it on how to clean it in order to reuse it as it says you can. So, how do you clean the red apple decoy maggot ball?

Get rid of pesky apple maggots
This is highly rated for this purpose. I hope it works. Will check back in the fall and let ypu lnow

It’s cheaper to buy apples.
I put three on each of my apple trees. These are just flimsy plastic hung on a metal wire. You coat them with the provided goop, and then the flys stick to it. These were coated with dead bugs in three weeks. I laboriously cleaned and then rebooted. My apples still sucked; just loaded with apple maggots. So - the product did kill quite a few maggots, but it just didn’t matter. It’s a challenge to be organic.

Appears as if they will be easy to use
I have not had a chance to use this yet as my fruit trees are dormant. The kit contains multiple plastic apples and bottles of tangle foot. The tangle foot alone is worth the amount charged for the kit. The only reservation I have is the way they are hung on the tree. It requires a friction like system to keep the apple on the metal that holds the ball. I will use that method as well as puncture the fake apple to see if attaching it that way works better. I live in an area that gets 40 mph wind at times. Will give an update once they have been on the trees for the season.

Handy hanger apple fly traps
This kit has easy to use hangers and nice foldable balls that are easy to paint with the convenient "sticky" applicator. I have used these many years ago and was pleased to see the new kit. My two dwarf years are showing lots of apples this year so I want the fruits to be safe from apple maggots for a good harvest. The traps are barely visible in the photo, but they are hanging amongst the branches....

This is a non-toxic which was important to us because we use no chemicals on our fruit!
We developed apple maggots in six trees around our property so this kit with 25 apple simulators was perfect since using 4 or more per tree is optimum. It comes with two cans of sticky goo and is easy to assemble and use. We hung some in the plum and cherry trees too, just to be safe.

a little tricky to use
they are a little tricky to hold and put the buy glue on without getting it all over yourself. I haven't seen a lot of bugs on them yet. maybe a few more weeks will tell. don't think I would buy them again.

Good so far.
Put them up as the petals dropped and so far so good. easy to install, wore gloves as is very sticky. Many bugs on it at this point.
