Fits perfectly and easily on my Garmin Alpha and gives me a way to hook it to something while still having a belt clip. Gives lots of options for keeping the Alpha off the ground. Feels high quality and is a good value.

I've used one of these on my E-Trex 22 for three years leading hikes throughout San Diego County and Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. It clips on a D-ring on my backpack strap. It's always within reach so I can read it without unclipping it. I consider it part of my safety equipment.

So folks, this is not a belt clip. It is not designed to fit over a belt of any thickness. The attachment is to connect it to the back of your device. The upturned portion is used to assist in attaching and detaching to the device not for use as a belt clip. The carabiner/spring clip is what is used to attach to belt, belt loop, gear strap, etc.In that aspect it works as designed, no flaw.I've used it on several hikes for a Garmin eTrex, no issues with it coming loose unless I intend for it to come loose.

The only negative I’ve noticed so far is the clip needs to be removed to charge the controller. At least it’s as easy to remove as it is to install.

I was always afraid I would lose my Garmin eTrex while in the woods. After years of waiting, I finally broke down and bought a carabiner clip.I should have down this a long time ago. the clip is very sturdy, and the strap material seems like it will hold up to years of trails. It slides in place behind the battery cover, but does not impede the port on the back. I am confident that the clip will keep my Garmin secured to my gear.
