Fortunately, these swabs are a fine alternative to Unilever's Q-tips, which are now useless garbage. The wooden stalk is shown as flexible in the pics, but it's quite firm, which is nice. I don't care that there are fewer swabs per box or that they cost a little more. They work like they're supposed to, which appears to be a big ask these days.For context: Unilever now thinks that it's acceptable to turn their well-established Q-tips into cheap trash that literally folds like a two dollar suit. It takes almost no effort to bend them in half now because they wilt like a flower that's never seen sun, and they're also smaller with less cotton at the tips. So people are left to fend for themselves to find suitable alternatives. This is especially egregious because Q-tips are effectively the only product of their kind on most store shelves. Unilever ought to win an award for their skinflint dedication to outrageously stupid attempts at skimpflation.

These seemed like a nice option in terms of being biodegradeable. However, be careful with use - the cotton on the ends is thinner than on the standard Q-tips that we're all used to, especially on the ends, making these pointier and sharper. Risk of injury to ear canal/eardrum probably higher unless you're really careful using them.

The common swab shafts bent too easily, these bamboo ones are rigid so avoid that annoyance.

Love these! The tip tightly wound & precise. This is probably my 4th order in the last year as I started adding to my ear piercings. My piercer provided a pack of these in the beginning as I am to gently clean with these twice a day, along with the saline solution, and these are perfect! No debris left behind like there would be with regular qtips, plus’s the precision tip. I am also happy to have them for random jobs around the house & nail polish edge clean up. Have repurchased & will continue to! Highly recommend!!
