Q: Can anyone tell me the dimensions of the timer itself? Is it on the large or small side?

Width 8.5 cm, Height 7cm, Depth 2 cm. It's very good. Dual purpose - also works as a clock. Has an automatic light and it's loud!

Q: Is it held together by 4 small screws at the back? Just asking so that I will know if I can open case and disable speaker.

Firstly, you can switch the alarm off by cycling through the volume button at the back. There are two screws on the back at the bottom From the instructions The timer has 4 alarm volume settings, press “VOL” to select between off, low, medium and high

Q: Can you increment the minutes both up and down when setting the timer, some timers only let you increase?

. The hour, minute, and second buttons only advance when setting the timer or clock, but its no trouble to cancel and re-set should you make a mistake. Should you want to extend the timer for a couple of minotes you could keep an eye on the timer as it begins to count up after the alarm has sounded but any longer it would be best to reset the extra time period when the alarm sounds that way you will get an alert at the end of your new time setting. Should you want to shorten the time you've set It would be better to stop the timer and reset for the remaining time you want that way the alarm will sound at the end of the new setting.
