These things are wonderful for at home science experiments and as PWM supplies for mini tesla coils using stove igniters!

This product looks great, and is easy to hook up. Just taking a picture of it, I picked up the QR code and sent it to a web page where it downloaded the Instructions as a PDF file, unfortunately it is not in English, however the buttons are easy to figure out. With it's small step adjustments it is very precise yet adjustments are quick if you long press the buttons.I had fun showing people the importance of a Pulse width modulator (PWM) by using a simple light bulb, demonstrating the eyes persistence of vision while I increased the frequency until a "flicker" was not perceivable, then increasing the pulse width to demonstrate the energy density with an increase in brightness. All fun and games put aside, this unit is more suited for a professional install as a motor speed control or in it's timer mode as a one time operation or reoccurring timed pulse used as an indicator or control signal to initiate the next action ( Like the opening of a water valve to spray vegetables that are out for display in a market, or even the timely release of product on a conveyor belt used in manufacturing )Although I found it buggy at the low voltages (4 volts) it is specified to operate at, this consisted of dimming/flickering display lights during setting and low frequency use, it did not seem to affect the stability of the output. When you apply power it starts as 'ON" despite what state it was when power was removed.Testing for frequency accuracy it is stable but a few hertz low, well within values for a non-PLL device. PWM is often used in today's modern power supplies, learning the fundamentals of PWM will put you one more step ahead in this exciting field of electronics

Not a perfect waveform, but will drive a motor. Can’t really expect more for the price.

Good controller that is simple to operate and test PWM'ed equipment and parts. Currently use it to test parts on commercial mobile generators.

freq is off by about 200 Hz, and the square wave produced is not clean. has noise, jagged. but for the money and if you don't need accuracy, it will work.

Bought two. Both show change in frequency and PWM on the meter without load.However under load ( 12v 1.2amp DC motor) - one is not turning motor ON at all!The other does not turn the motor OFF, and doesn’t change the speed when PWM changes on the screen.So, a far as I understand - I’ve been sold PP1K with PP2K face plate on it. Because other sellers say that on PP2K I cannot see the wave firm without connecting it to load - which I do all day long with multimeter and scope.These are going back, replacement is not offered, and I am NOT happy because to get another ones from other sellers will take a long time! 😡If it was possible to give it negative stars - I would give all five negative!!!

After I replaced my cars head lights with LEDs they were to bright. I've had people complain to me about how difficult it is driving in front of me and I needed to do something about it. With this I was able to hook my headlights up to a switch and be able to control their brightness with the adjustable high and low time. This was easier and less expensive than having to buy a new set of headlights and I can turn them back to normal with the flick of a switch. It fits perfectly in a hole I cut out in my car and the wings on the side keep it in place with no room for wiggling around.

Good accuracy on this pwm generator! I've used it to power automotive AC compressor control valves with, and it's done a great job to test the system with during troubleshooting.
