I bought this to use when I burn brush; I don't trust the regular garden sprayer to control such a fire. This thing works very well indeed. I should note that I have an incoming line from the street that is 3/4 inch all the way to the back of the building nearest the burn spot, and I used a 3/4 ball valve and 100' of 3/4 hose, with NO quick-connects. Without any restrictions in the line, this nozzle puts out a mega-flow of water that beats any other setup I've used. Also, it shuts off the water completely when turned to that position - no leaks. It appears to be built of brass & aluminum. Since I expect the Al to erode somewhat over the years, that is the reason for only 4 stars.To clarify the issue from reviewers who complained about this item: if you use this with 1/2 inch pipe to 5/8 garden hose, you will not be able to take full advantage of this nozzle's design. Also, if you don't have decent water pressure to start with, this item cannot give as forceful a spray as you might want. These issues are not the fault of the nozzle, but of your water supply situation. It's simple physics.

If you need a nozzle that sprays hard and is more like a power washer, this is perfect! However, I like to use mine to water my gardens and flowers, too. This nozzle does not have a "sensitive" setting on it, so it was rough on my plants. I had to turn the water pressure down on the water spigot by the house, in order to spray my plants more gently. It's definitely made of good quality. Would probably be better for hosing down sidewalks, decks, etc, and washing the car.

I spent a great deal of time researching a nozzle that will try to create the most powerful stream with regular hose from the spigot. This product somewhat fails in that regard. It's decent in terms of strength, but not something I would use to really clean a deck or back of a truck. I might end up keeping it because it seems to be very well made and isn't leaking much at all. If anyone has a specific recommendation for a nozzle that will provide the most pressure/powerful spray from standard backyard hose please let me know.

I just received the unit, and for some reason, the water does not come out in a uniform fashion. There are gaps in the water output, as if debris is inside the unit and covering the exit holes. I wonder if there is a way to open it to clean it but without messing up the warranty on it. It seems to be a high quality unit, but I expected much better. Sorry, Mega Flow.

This unit is constructed very well and feels solid. The reason for 3 stars is that it only is good for a single stream. It does that quite well. If you need a single purpose solid stream sprayer then this one is the ticket - 5 star all the way. My estimate is it would last a very long time.

quality seems good. the hardest spray is pretty good but not that much better/stronger than my regular old garden variable spray one. the thing i dont like is that theres no soft spray for the flowers. the softest spray is too heavy. if you only want for jet spray its pretty good.

Seems to be solid and well-made. Keep in mind that a 'hard stream' is very much dependent on water pressure. If you already have it, then most choices of nozzle will do the job. This nozzle does not incluse a magic wand to create more pressure.

I was a little disappointed in the performance this unit. I bought it because I needed something that was powerful. We have good water pressure so that was not the problem. The yard maxx works great if you are looking for a versatile watering nozzle for your garden, but to me the terms "mega flow", "high volume" and "fire hose" are somewhat misleading. I will continue looking for something that more closely meets my needs
