I read a rating about this product and it was very negative, however if he would have installed it correctly he would have found that the product was Great!!!!!!

Update, mine is not working 1 month later. OEM antenna mast fixed it permanently.I have installed dozens of replacement antennas over the years, this one is like any other one of them. If you know what you’re doing, and do it properly. It will work as designed.If you don’t know what you’re doing or there’s still some of the old antenna down in the reel, you will have problems. I’ve screwed some up before, but it was the installer that was the problem, not the product itself.

After i sent word that the package was open and empty they sent a replacement out right away. I installed it in less than five minutes. Pretty good for a sixty year old grandma!

Not difficult to install. Was very excited that I got installed within about 10 minutes. It worked great for a couple days and then stopped. Pulled it all out again and realized the gears came loose from the antenna shaft. Seems poorly constructed, no way to repair without buying a new one

To begin, the install process was difficult as it did not directly fit into where the previous antenna was. Cleaned and removed necessary pieces to install but alas I had to just go with it. Another thing is it does not improve signal at all, its more of a decoration piece at this point. So key takeaways are doesn't work properly, is just a decoration and installation is difficult. Overall this earns 1 star.

This product did not match the size of the Toyota OEM product. The plastic gear strip is smaller. Part lasted about 5 or 6 days, then gear teeth started jumping on drive unit.Part is worthless for my application, 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser. The OEW part as a diameter of about 4.25 mm vs the replacement part which has a diameter of a bit over 3.5mm.In spite of the part having been installed I must acknowledge that RED WOLF gave me a full refund for my purchase. They did this after they they learned of my issue. They made the refund voluntarily, without my requesting it. I thought that this action was very responsible of RED WOLF.I would do business with them again. I would make sure that the part being bought was OEM equivalent and not just similar.

i have replaced over 100 masts in my career none have been as difficult as this one. it just isnt as big as the original so it doesn't thread properly.
