These little outdoor tree lights were easy to unpack and install. No cable tangles. The have survived harsh winter weather including , rain, sleet and snow. -7c didn’t bother them unduly. The lights have a decent amount of cord to go around a 7 foot fir tree with ample coverage. The lighting effects are nice and varied. I used good quality batteries and they have lasted 3 weeks with around 6 hours illumination per evening. Battery pack still has juice left. (AA) The lights are bright and can be seen from a distance. Good value for money. I wasn’t 100% sure about the waterproof claims so I did tuck the battery pack into a clear plastic sandwich bag hidden in the tree. The power pack can be connected to an external power source. I didn’t try it. I opted for batteries and used the remote control to switch them on and off from around 5-6 metres away. It found the box in amongst the branches.

These lights work really well and are just like they are described. The lighting they give is very pleasant and warm. They are long enough to decorate a medium-sized room. The length of the wire is great as you can have it plugged in to the wall without it being stretched; I haven't used the entire length of cable that is provided and have it plugged in easily. The remote control works well from 5m away but the lights can also be controlled with a button on the battery box and there are a variety of lighting sequences to choose from, some nicer than others. It also has the option to power it through batteries or through USB plug.The one complaint I have about the product is that the first time I took them out of the box and hung them, one of the plastic lightbulb came unstuck from one of the lights. Other than that, they are very durable; I have had them for 3 months and haven't had any breakage or wearing-out.

I am hanging these lights around my bed on my walls and ceiling. I am happy with the length of cable running bulbs along it, I can run the bulbs back and forth along the walls of my room, which span the space of a small double bed. The lead is suitably long: there is a measure of bulb-less lead so that it can reach a socket. It has a USB connection which I think is brilliant. I plug it in to my USB socket which means I have no need to run the batteries. The light is soft and warm, not too bright but makes a great sleepy mood lighting. The remote is pretty handy actually. I thought it may be a bit of a waste, but I have enjoyed lying in bed, grabbing the remote at my side and switching out the lights. I will say that the remote has a pretty weak signal. It won't work if any object is in front of the control/battery box, so annoyingly I have to have an ugly box on view if I want to use the remote.All in all, I would recommend and may buy again in future.

These are lovely to add some atmosphere to a room. Got them wrapped around a wooden Ikea shelving unit and they give a lovely glow to the room in the evening. Running them off usb right now, the length of cable before the lights is really generous.

Bought and used in our motorhome for a few months before batteries leaked and they stopped workiny. Never had this issue with any new battery powered electronics before. We alternated between mains use and battery use but would not expect the batteries to do this. After reading through the reviews I can a see this has happened to several other people so must be an issue with the manufacturer. It's a shame because they are lovely lights but would not buy again as they're a fire hazard.

These lights are great both battery powered and usb. They are ugly when not lit if I’m honest but silly stunning at night so worth the day ugliness in my opinion. Remote control is an added bonus. The only annoying niggle is that there isn’t a constant gentle twinkle setting. It goes from twinkle to flashing which can be annoying. Apart from that I’m pleased.

Love them , it’s great that they are battery and/or usb operated , great price as well and a remote control so you can operate when you won’t,also have several different settings. So great buy
