The very best in the world, although some poor reviews come from those not used to dark roasts of ANY kind, they should order one of their medium roasts to compare with their inferior daily fare. In short, dark has more body and less jitters later on; medium has more primitive taste, less refined, more often mixed with cream/sugar, etc. for pedestrians + more jitters the after shock.First introduced to Lion/Hawaii Coffee Co. while on anniversary in Honolulu @ Cheeseburgers From Heaven where these entrepreneur gals served Lion Regular (med. roast) daily with a view of the public beach. WOW. Blue Mountain from Jamaica, all of Starbucks, A&P's famous "eight-o-clock", Coca-cola's brand (now long gone), even the new upstarts locally can't hold a candle to what comes out of this company ... they also have a Club to join, which saves on freight, so far away.So, as member of this Club, we got to sample the very best from The Best, even the famous whole bean Peabody and now completely around the block ... and world ... got to say THIS ONE is king of the world. For you that prefer medium/med-dark roasts, they offer a new brand that's equally tops ... Honolulu Cafe.So I had to order this extra batch, even as a Club member because ... it's the most popular gift (I'm told) I ever gave anyone. I'm almost out and not wanting to buy local ever again ... makes the waiting worse, not better. Yes, I am spoiled.

This coffee has a smooth flavor, and a great taste. Reasonably priced.

I started buying Lyons Chocolate Macadamia Nut ground coffee while it was carried by local grocer carried it, and it was on sale, to boot. Unfortunately, the next time I returned to buy more, the store was no longer carrying it. I was heart-broken. I really loved this coffee - nothing comes close. Luckily, I stumbled across it here on Amazon, so I now order it here. It tastes like coffee house coffee. High quality, rich taste, everything you want from your coffee. Costs more than Folgers, but you can't even compare the taste. Simply the best!

Alright, so I'm not the biggest fan of this coffee. To me, the scent of the grounds are a bit off. the flavor of the coffee is actually not bad, it has a mildly acidic tone, but it's missing the classic bold arabica bean flavor I've come to expect from coffees.However, this coffee is so unique I will likely buy it again in the future!

I really like this coffee a lot, especially as a change up from my standard fairly robust dark roast. I almost always drink my coffee black, with an occasional dose of Irish Creme tossed in for good measure. My brother brought me some of the Lion Vanilla Macadamia Nut one time that he picked up while in Hawaii, and I liked it a lot, so I decided to try the chocolate variety and liked it also. This sort of thing depends and awful lot on individual likes and dislikes and preferences, so all that I can say is I like it a great deal and will buy it again in the future as a change of pace from my usual dark roast.

Coffee tastes like perfume. Very disappointed

I am sure the product is very tasty as we have had other flavors and have been satisfied. Unfortunately this product opened in transit. When I opened the delivery package it was filled with coffee grounds and damage was done to other items in the package. I would like a refund however I am unable to figure out how to do so as this is a food item.

I bought this coffee after my husband and I went to Hawaii as we did not purchase any there, but did go through taste testings. We love chocolate coffee, and I wasn't sure about the macademia nut flavor but it's a good combination! Just know that a little goes a long way!
