Breathing is one of the most important things we do and it has consequences.
Valerie Moselle is very passionate about the benefits of breath techniques for everyone and writes in such a way as to make the benefits and techniques understandable for the beginner. The book talks about limitations participants may have and encourages health care professionals input, then after a brief overview proceeds to a day by day program which teaches a variety of techniques which do require practice and developing new muscle memory to be effective. This is not a three week and you’re done with it program, but rather one that will only reach its potential, if you continue to make it a part of your daily routine. I’m hoping it will assist me in transitioning to further development in Yoga as conveyed in the book “Relaxing into Yoga for Seniors.” The two seemingly hold great potential to compliment each other.

This is not a simple how to, with one, two, three steps to breathing better. No, this is a workbook designed for you to work through several times a day for a period of twenty-one days. It is not a book you sit down and read. It is not a book you pick up in the evening to put you to sleep. Moselle brings her years of training to bear on our behalf showing us how to do each step. As someone who has several family members with respiratory illnesses, breathing is not taken for granted in my family. So I was excited to find a book that used proper breathing not just as a way to ensure good health, but also as a tool to relax and center yourself as a person. This book provides a three week course to the reader to learn proper breathing and use breathing techniques to support good health, including helping with insomnia, reducing asthma side effects and helping to relieve stress. The course will help the reader focus and gain additional strength, but also reduce stress and help cope with everyday life and its hickups.Overall, a recommend this book to readers that are interested in natural remedies and especially to readers that looking for ways to reduce stress and anxiety in their lives.I received a free copy from the publisher.
