This can opener is amazing! I work in a soup kitchen, and we open a lot of cans. This is so easy to use. It cuts around the edge of the can so there are no sharp edges. I just ordered two more.

I dare say in the fifty years since I've been buying kitchen appliances that this is the best can opener I've ever owned. It's easy to use. Cans aline perfectly under a sturdy bar that secures the can firmly while cutting every time and removes the top just like it was a lid. I frequently only use part of the contents and now I can use the top to close the cans with a little tape for storage in the fridge. Smooth edges once cans are open so there's no danger of cutting fingers on the can it the top. I'm officially a senior citizen with arthritic joints. I can push the lever down with my palm and easily hold it while cutting the can open. I can hear a click when the can is open so I know when to grab the can that releases when I let off the lever. It's got a fairly small footprint on the counter. The only issue, which isn't a problem for me, is that there is no place to store the excess power cord. I keep the opener directly under an outlet in my kitchen and the cord is jumbled up behind it. Kind unsightly and messy looking. But I'm happy to deal with it because this can opener works so well. I highly recommend the product.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Works very well even with a pop top lid as of course it opens around the edge. Easy to use and compact for easy storage. But this is a gift for someone in the absolutely love it. This one happens to be plugged in so no worries on battery life. Not the item to take for camping unless you have an RV.

Since it opens without spatter, there is NO NEED to clean up the blade. After trying for years to find a decent hand held can opener, I decided to try this one due to reviews. The 5 Star reviews are right on! So gentle on the hands too. I like it's fairly compact design as well. Highly Recommend!

this is the first electric can opener I've had since I was very young so I don't have anything else to compare it to. but it works well and is easy to use. I thought it was a good price. opens very large cans easily.

This has made my life a whole lot easier. I have arthritis is my hands and using a hand held can opener was torture for me. This is exactly what I needed and it does a great job. The lid is not sharp when it comes off. So much safer.
