The doorbell itself works fine when running off of battery. The problem is when you wire it so that it does not have to be recharged. When I attached the wires, it causes my original doorbell to ring over and over without stopping, instead of just doing so when the doorbell button is pushed. As a result, I have no choice but to run it off the batteries, which is inconvenient to charge over and over again. I looked for help online, but could not find anything.I emailed support, so hopefully I will get a response on how to fix this problem.UPDATE: I've reduced my rating to 1 star. It has to be reset all the time and customer service never got back to me.

Buyer beware. If all you want to do is see and talk to the dope that rings the bell then this is fine. If you want it to detectsomeone coming on your porch (delivery guy, mailman or thief) then this product sorely deficient. A lot of porch visitorsdo not ring the doorbell....ups/amazon/usps delivery folks and crooks. I thought the motion detector would capture all the spurious activity of non-doorbell ringers which is why I purchased this....WRONG. Motion detector only works within3-6 ft and I am being kind. Examples: Pizza guy comes and goes w/no alert or record, recorded mailman 1 of 5 visits, wife goes to work no record---son goes to work later alert and record. Totally unreliable. SECOND ISSUE was the batteries.Charged overnight and indicated full charge, when put in unit it indicated 100% for about 1-2 minutes before droppingto 50%. Repeated and same result. My take faulty batteries or circuitry but not my problem, going back immediately!!

My old doorbell had 12v AC power going to it. I think most do. That makes it difficult to install this if you don't want to use batteries. I personally don't want to worry about charging it. The instructions are written in EXTREMELY poor English. I am trying to figure out if running power to it from an exterior light will charge the batteries so it still works when the light is turned off.

This doorbell has lots of great features. My gripe is that the motion sensor was unreliable and the camera angle was not very good. It has many features that are extra or nonexistent with other more expensive units. So,I returned it and got a simpler setup that seems more reliable.

Works like a charm! Can access it from anywhere in the world with its easy to use mobile app. It’s rechargeable so you can install it anywhere you want without having to run wires to it. It does have the option to wire it in case you don’t want to be taking out weekly to recharge. 1 charge last me about a whole week.

Saw great reviews and purchased for Birthday present for my bf. Didn’t recognize the qr codes. Can’t get the app to install so looked on YouTube and recommended live home. Then after that it isn’t able to pair. Button won’t blink red. Really frustrating. If you don’t like someone this is the present to buy them because it eats away at their time and is quite frustrating and it makes some Siren noise

Very good camera system on his doorbell easy to install this is the second one off purchase and I really liked it the app was easy to use and navigate so what's a good purchase.

I was able to install the app on my Samsung 7 Edge without any issues. Everything seem to function fine and the camera on the doorbell seems very good and clear. This is my first review as I just finished installing everything a couple hours ago so I have not tested it extensively but everything appears to be as advertised for this doorbell.
