This case is approximately twice as thick as a standard DVD case. Accommodates up to 4 discs. Has a clear outer plastic "full wrap" to hold artwork. Utilizes a push hub to hold discs. Case color is black. Also holds standard size CD media as well.

Ideal for Home Use, but Pray to the Shipping Gods
Just received my package today, along with an order for the Maxtek 14mm Black Standard Double Capacity DVD cases. For years, I have been using DVD cases bought from a failed Blockbuster store. Now that they have run out, I needed replacements. As others have mentioned, these are made of thinner plastic. Not surprising, since my Blockbuster cases needed to be rugged through frequent handling. The plastic sleeve on the outside of these cases feel a little thinner. They're also clear shiny plastic. The Blockbuster cases have a pebbled surface, presumably to be tougher to rip. They also don't show fingerprints, unlike these cases. So for my needs, these seem to be ideal. I need to store my disks, and these cases might be opened once or twice a year, so I shouldn't have to worry about the plastic hinges wearing out.The only concerns I have and I will have will be how these cases are shipped. It sounds like you'll be paying your money and taking your chances. These cases were packed in the same large box as the Maxtek cases, with brown paper tucked in for padding. At some point, I think the box was dropped or slammed. The Maxtek cases came through fine, while two of the 50 Black Quads were split at the bottom. Not bad enough to throw away (I'm cheap), but annoying. So that's the deal. When I run out, I'll look for these again. At these prices, it's worth the risk of some damaged product.

Satisfied
These have been incredibly convenient. I haven't opened the latest box yet, never expected to order a second one, but have found it so nice to replace larger bulkier products cases with something smaller, I used far more than I expected, so I ordered another box. They're not perfect. The section in the middle comes out sometimes, but the ones I've gotten when buying a commercial set sometimes do that as well and it snaps back into place. I've used these for slimming down series, also for combining movies with sequels so they can come off the shelf together, etc.

Well done - good construction and design,
Compare these to the thick "10 Empty 22mm Thick QUAD Blue Replacement Boxes / Cases for Blu-Ray DVD Movies - Holds 4 Disc" cases, and I think these black cases come out better. I ordered a set of them, and I don't really have a need for 50 of them but I can give some away or save them for later. This cases are a tiny bit thicker than the standard DVD case you find movies in at Walmart, but about 1/2 as thick as the blue 4-disc model i referenced above.I prefer this design, and the first 10 or so of these I opened looked flawless. I am happy with these.

Good storage for my collection needs
Pretty good cases. Only issue I had was with the hubs for the flip tray. I thought I cracked a DVD when I first installed the disc-so I took some fine emery cloth and buffed the tangs a few times-problem solved. Great storage reducer so I'll probably need more. Price was cool.

Satisfied with the Cases
For the money, it's a great buy. I did get two broken cases out of the 50, as I was somewhat expecting. They're certainly not the flimsiest cases out there, but do have a slightly pliable feel. The center swinging piece is also fully removable in the event you only need to store two.

Nice Quality Cases
These cases are of a higher quality than some of the cheaper priced ones that look identical to this but have horrible tooling. These have solid, clean plastic, no rough edges, and the clear plastic sleeve is a standard thickness and evenly glued. I'm using these in a retail business so presentation is important, and these pass the test for me.It's nice that these are standard width too we can use our normal dvd sleeve inserts. Some multi-disc cases are extra thick and so regular inserts end up looking too small.

Hmmm. My Mixed Review.
These DVD cases came quickly and met my need, but when I transported them to a conference where I was speaking, several of them broke. This meant I couldn't sell them. Fortunately I brought a large quantity and only a few broke. They work great, just be very careful transporting them. Mine were in a suitcase filled with other CDs and DVDs and under my care meaning they weren't miss-handled in an airport or anything like that. Not sure why they broke. They seemed brittle.

Good Item
This item is great. Just what I needed to help condense my video collection. I didn't give it 5 stars because they don't always clip shut and they break fairly easily when dropped. But they do the job.
