I bought these solar lights for my deck stairs so I don't miss steps when walking down the stairs at night. They are just bright enough to let me see the steps in 'white' light mode. The light doesn't go very far which is good if you don't want to annoy the neighbors.Installation is a breeze if you have a screwdriver and a tape measure. Just screw in a pair of screws the correct distance apart and slide the light onto them from above. Turn on the switch to either white or color mode and you are done. They turn on automatically when it is dark.These won't light up your yard like the 12v systems that plug into an outlet or large battery/solar panel but it is convenient to not have any wires to route and manage. If you are having a backyard party these would be great for setting the mood and keeping guests safe on the path or stairs but don't expect them to be used as the main light source.Overall I'm very happy with these lights. The kids love them because of the alternating rgb color mode.Update: I have been using these for 2 weeks with no issues. They still charge every day and light up nicely at night, even with partly cloudy skies. Five stars!

These come on when the sun goes down. I had them set on white for a while, but last night, flipped the switch to color. it rotates through the rainbow and since I got 2 sets for my back yard, each post has a slightly different color light. Some 3M double-stick tape makes them stay right in place. They are very lightweight and an easy way to perk up a boring yard. The lights dim through the night, but there's still a little left by morning.

Pretty easy to install because they marked the distance between the mounting holes on the back. Two modes: white and RGB. I like peach and quiet so I did not use the RGB option on a daily basis, however, it would be a great idea to use the RGB option for a backyard party! With this price, I think I got myself a great deal. Worth the money!

worth the money. You will receive 8 independent light. Very easy to install. Solar power makes it easy to handle( no need to replace the baterry). But I personally am not satisfied with the light it provide. Looks too dark even at night. There is only one LED bulb provide the light. Okay to use when it is super dark, but not enough for me. So I took one star away. Otherwise, I am satisfied with the product.

when I got the lights was when the time change happens and didn't install them because at this time of year the deck where they were being installed would not get enough to fully charge them . So I waited until March to install now that the weather is good and daylight was here. Charged them all in full sun for 2 days . All next to each other. Installed them and waited anxiously to see my deck that night. Well 1 didn't come on and all and the other 1 was dim. So we took them off the deck and checked the batteries and the 2 were not good. Of course with this set it's cheaper to buy another set than try to find a replacement batteries. Disappointed that they did not work and that that the light given off each one is not very bright or spreads out . I have 5 that work . I do not recommend.

Not enough sun to make these work great. They look great. I get lots of compliments on them. but they don't receive enough direct sunlight here in Anchorage Alaska to work very long. And of course we don't need them in the summertime. Made well enough Stick them where needed. Would buy again if I lived further south in the states

These lights were easy to assemble and install. I installed on my fence posts and they provide a beautiful downlight on my fence. I wish they were brighter, but they are close to perfect for a backyard party. I would highly recommend them.

I am using these to highlight the steps up to my pool and the effect they make with the multicolored setting is gorgeous. They last from dusk until sunrise each night. I really cannot praise these enough considering how many you get for the price-very pleased with them.
