I purchased this battery to use in a Greenworks 40v 21" push mower. The factory batteries just don't last long enough. On a full charge, I get about 30-40 minutes of mowing on this battery. The 2.5 ah batteries that came with the mower, would only last about 20 mins each. So in one battery, I am getting the same life as two, as expected, but now I don't have to stop and swap batteries as often. I push mow 2/3 of an acre with several trees, bushes, and other landscaping to go around. The battery does take awhile to charge, about 1.5 to 2 hours. It is a rather snug fit inside the mower (see pictures), but it does fit. The only real issue I have with this battery so far, is it needs more grip or texturing along the edge opposite of the release latch. And that only really pertains to the mower use. You can see where my thumb is in the pictures, and it is very difficult to pull the battery back out at times. I normally have to use both hands to pull it out, gripping it from the sides, and you have to hold the grey release at the same time. Minor issue, not enough for me to knock a star off. I can't really speak for the longevity of the battery, as I have only had it a couple months, and it's only been used about once a week. So about 8-9 recharges on it so far. Overall happy with the purchase.

Being about more than half the price of the name brand battery for the mowers sets this apart. The fact that it has held the same charge as the name brand ones I have, is what makes this a solid buy.I have had Greenworks batteries die out on me or just barely hold charges. Not a big fan of them and have stopped buying into them. For my hardware that still uses their batteries, this has breathed new life into it at a fraction of the cost. I just couldn't justify spending over 100 for a minor battery. Basically the same cost as heavier duty batteries out there. This batter has lasted well over a month with no issues so I am finally writing the review. I am not upset with it at all and it has held up to what we hoped it would do.

Update:Around the 6 month mark the battery won't charge. They claim to have a 1 year warranty but I have emailed 3 times and they haven't responded. Poor customer service. Will update again if the finally respond.I have had this Battery for about 3 weeks now and have used it every week. Seems to have done a great job performing. It fit perfectly fine in my mower and has made mowing enjoyable again. With the 4 AH battery that came with the mower and the now the new 5 AH along with it I don't have to stop and change out a battery during my mowing session.I still have 2 smaller 2AH batteries for string trimming and blowing that I haven't have to use when mowing and still has 2 lights on the big battery when complete.Hope this review helps.

I had 2 batteries before I purchased this one. They are both G-Max, 40V, Greenworks name brand. Also both are 2 Amp. Using the batteries in the pole saw was great; they lasted for hours. Likely this was due to the way you use a pole saw which isn't steadily turned on. Similarly, they worked okay with the hedge trimmer, likely for the same reason. But when fall arrived and I started using them in my leaf blower, I was disappointed. One would run for about 15 minutes and the other for about 10 minutes. I have a big yard and lots of leaves. I ended up spending more time on the couch waiting for the batteries to recharge than using the blower. So I purchased this 5 Amp battery and find it lasts for a good 30 minutes with the leaf blower. One of the great things about these batteries is you get the full output level right up until the juice is gone so there is no slowing down as it gets toward being totally drained. I would absolutely buy this again and plan on purchasing at least one more once I can get away with it financially. Buy this; you won't be disappointed.

This was the third off brand battery I bought to use with my Greenworks mower. The first two would stop after only a few seconds for some reason so I retuned one and then the other. This one works perfectly so far. The mover I use this on is a Greenworks 21 inch cordless brushless mower that I bought here on Amazon as well.

Last year, I bought a Greenworks 21-Inch 40V Brushless Cordless Mower, Two 2.5 AH Batteries Included MO40L2512, and the two included batteries could barely make it through the front yard or back yard. After a year of sitting in the shed, it took me 2 charges of both just to do 1 yard, but then I bought this beast and it does one yard all by itself and often can make up the difference for the other 2 batteries on the second yard. Worth the money for sure, and I wish it came standard with the new lawnmower.

40 V five amp hour battery. Always fully charged and discharged.Use mostly for a Greenworks blower. Barely lasted two years. Not a good value ☹️

I dislike the design of the battery compartment, and how difficult it is to remove to charge after use, but beside that, everything else is fine
