Woven Cotton Batiste Culotte Slips Pettipants

These are pretty much exactly what I was looking for - this is actually the second time I have bought them because I liked the first ones so much.As a heavy woman who only wears skirts, I needed something to keep my thighs from rubbing together. I had used other culotte slips that were knit and fit tighter, they tended to bind when I tried to do anything. I like these much better! They are nice and cool and comfortable, and are well-made - the ones I bought over a year ago are still pretty much in the same condition after daily use as the ones I just bought. They also provide nice coverage when I'm wearing a skirt or dress that's a little more see-though.I almost didn't buy these because I think they're quite expensive - but I'm glad I did, because I am definitely getting my money's worth out of them.

The pettipants I received from you today (8437, white, large) are not 100% cotton but 97% cotton and 3% lycra. The resulting fabric is airless and slippery and quite unsuitable for summer wear (the whole point of pettipants is to enable one to wear dresses in sticky weather). If you're going to make undergarments nonreturnable, you need to represent their contents honestly. I am really disappointed because yours were the only pettipants I could find online that claimed to be all cotton--and they aren't. They looked so nylon-like that I opened the package to find the contents label (they were purchased as a gift)and now I don't even believe the contents label because they still look and feel like nylon. Anyway,just in case your supplier is putting something over on you, you should know this product is not as advertised.Follow-up:Underworks responded promptly to my complaint and explained that the label was wrong and the fabric is indeed 100% cotton. I suggest that Underworks include a note to that effect in future shipments of this item, because the fabric is not the lawn or batiste that I had in mind and other purchasers may also be puzzled by it. I did appreciate the quick response and the explanation.

I would have given these 5 stars, but I took off one star for their being made as if the wearer would have no "extra" in the posterior. It is a snug fit for me, but will work out as long as they don't shrink in the wash.The waistband on the back rides inches below my waist (and the waistband of my panties). I could easily expect both of these problems if they had been made in Asia, but expect better from USA-made.UPDATE: I have ordered a size larger for more "breathing room" though I have never had to order that large of a size before. I like the length. Someone complained they got a tag that said 97% cotton and 3% lycra and were all up in arms about it. I think that is just a tempest in a pot of tea. I have ordered these and the material is (obviously) 100% cotton -- but if you want to get super specific you would HAVE to say 3% lycra because of the elastic in the waistband (and possibly lyrcra in the extremely thin lace at the bottom). After wearing this, although it is too snug not to feel worried (the pair before ordering the size up), these are a good product. The lace at the bottom is a bit scratchy although almost too small to notice it is there otherwise. It rubs up behind my knees and bothers. I will be sewing on a large sort of ruffle-style cotton lace under the lace that came on the product to solve that problem. This is the third company I have ordered pettipants from, and the best I have found thus far.

These are very well made! I like the length, coming to my knees and I'm 5'6.5". HOWEVER, they are NOT a lightweight fabric. Its a satiny weave and not transparent and appears to have been mercurized. I was disappointed but I'm keeping these for wintertime and sleeping because they are nice. I usually wear a large due to my hips, but ordered a 2x and I'm glad I did because they fit nicely loose in the waste and hips but won't fall off me. So order a little larger and don't expect these to be light and breezy.

Love the cotton. Cool in summer, warm in winter. Hard to find the slip shorts, and slips in cotton at retail shops. Size wise, if you are hefty, and your measurement is close or same as the listed size, go up one size, else it can be snug. I ended up having to exchange up a size. But I don't want the cotton slip or short to be snug.

I bought a size up because most slips cling or are small in the hips for me. This one I could have gone down a size. It is cotton, loose, and comfortable.I live in one of the hot, very long summer states, and cotton slips are a rarity. The slip is knee length on me (I am short), but it works for the below knee length dresses. I wore this to an outdoor wedding in 90+ degree heat and was comfortable. Everyone wearing nylon or spandex had to change their clothes for the reception. I will probably buy a second one in a shorter length for my summer dresses.

This was the second pair I ordered. The 1st pair I thought I bought the wrong size. After wearing the 2nd pair I think the design is flawed. With no stretch to the cotton the crotch continuously ripped out. I bought the 3x. They sell a much better one made of cotton/spandex. I'll get that from now on.

After bloomers were discontinued at the chain store that I used to buy them, I was hard pressed to find new products. I went online & found these. I like them. They are a nice but not flimsy cool cotton. In hot weather nothing better then cool cotton, breezy ventilation & provision of modesty under skirts & dresses. In hot weather just these pettipants & a natural material dress is the next best thing to going clothsless.

I've been searching for years for a cotton culottes petticoat! All I have managed to find have been nylon ones which make you even hotter but at least stop the chaffing!Very please with this item.

Great service from the company. I've tried to get something like this for ages and when they arrived I was v pleased. Lace could be a bit softer but they're very comfortable and easy to wear.

OMG, I love this. I've shied away from wearing summer dresses and skirts for years bcuz you need a slip. Well, problem solved. This is a much more comfortable and cooler option than a cotton half slip. Two words - no rubbing. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Die Unterrockhose paßt im Schritt, sitzt gut und angenehm. Ich habe Größe 40 und weiß aus Erfahrung, dass ich bei Schlupfhosen immer 1-2 Größen kleiner nehmen muß. Ich hätte sie nur gern in schwarz gehabt, so muß ich sie erst noch färben, was nun nochmal extra kostet. Insgesamt ein teures Stück!

i have a pair of thin cotton culottes and these add a bit of extra lining to them. I also got them to wear under maxi dresses as they will be more comfortable than a normal underskirt and will stop my legs rubbing together in the hot weather (if we ever get any!)
