APPLAUSE, APPLAUSE!
You've done it again Mr. Dickey! This book was very good. I enjoyed it, and it makes a great vacation read. I have become a devoted fan. I thought the characters in this book had some serious issues. I would love to see a sequel, or at least a book featuring Tammy and Darnell. That was a total surprise. But I could see how he would be drawn to a woman like Tammy when he had a woman like Dawn at home. She gave her husband absolutely NO support for his dreams and wishes at all. It really showed that people should have a LOT of conversation befor they say those "I Do's!" Jake was a flake. He gave new definition to the word "dog" and I don't blame Charlotte for leaving him. And poor Stephan was a victim of his father's legacy. Karen, however, had some SERIOUS issues with her, not to mention her toy 'Victor'. Interesting for a man to write about that. That one called for one of those things that make you go 'hhhhhmmmmmm!' Chante really had to learn how to value herself as a person. All in all, I enjoyed this book very much. However, some of the characters were a little hard to warm up to. However, I am looking forward to reading EJD's newest effort, "Liar's Game," and anything else he may write. I have a select group of writers that I buy whatever they have out and I think Mr. Dickey has moved onto that list! If you haven't read any of this author's books, buy a couple at a time because when you finish one, you will want to immediately pick up another one. They are like those potatoe chip ads, you can't read just one!

Dickey Strikes Again!
Words cannot clearly express the way this book will make you feel. Mr. Dickey has a way of getting to the nitty gritty of life in Southern Cali. He is able to write in the voice of men and women. As a woman this is a bit frightening. I can relate to many of the sisters he writes about in some form or another. In Cheaters he manages to show the dark side of relationships. He introduces you to men that,if you met them in person, you would immediately call a DAWG and hate them forever. Such as Stephan dating every woman under the sun (dippin' in ho soup), Darnell stepping outside his marriage, and Jake (too much to say about that borther). However, Mr. Dickey is able to have you feeling compasion for these people (even that no good Jake who can't keep his fly zipped). For me, this is the sign of a fantastic writer.

EJD can write!!!
I have never read an author that can seamlessly switch from a man's perspective to a female perspective and and maintain their authenticity while doing so.The thing that made this book so enjoyable was the familiar landscape. I was stationed at 29 Palms during the early 80's, so the club scene depicted in the book brought back some great memories. I highly recommend this book.

So Many Lessons....
I feel as though EJD wrote this book just for me. Love is not as black and white as sappy movies like to make it seem. There's a lot more to relationships than Marvin Gaye and lingerie. It requires work to maintain a constant love among two constantly evolving people. I think Cheaters is the type of book that you could recommend to anybody because it has so many lessons and words of wisdom in it. To put it short and simply, it's one of the best books I've read to date.

Good stuff
Nice twisty book. A few surprises that made it fun to read again. EJD really brings his characters to life in all his novels.

Pressing all the right buttons, Sug
My favorite book. I’m only 23 and the first time I read this book was back in high school. I fell in love with the characters. Loved the fulfilling appetite it gave me mentally. The diction was beautifully aroused in charm, wit, and honesty. Amazing job Mr. Dickey.

i found this book a hard read...only got into it half way through and then struggled....yet suprisingly the ending made me feel really sad. i think it would make a good movie or even a tv serial.

Slow to get started
Was a real slow burning to begin with. Liked it about 3/4 though and some good twist thrown in as well.
