The straps are very tight, such that I could not wear the shoes comfortably. They would not stay on if I cut the straps off. Also, these look like house shoes, which is not obvious from the photo, due to the material. They were so house shoe-like that I did not feel comfortable wearing them outside the house. I bought them for a trip where I had to wear something other than walking shoes in a nice restaurant, but they did not work for that purpose at all. I gave them three stars because, despite the tightness and unattractive material - they are inexpensive and would suit someone who wanted house slippers or shoes on a actual gym floor for ballet, but they do not serve other purposes, like most "ballet flats'.

Well-made, exactly as described. Very happy.(Other reviews were correct: these do run a tiny bit small. Ordered half a size larger than normal and they fit wonderfully. If you have wide feet, a whole size up might be a good idea.)Edit: Bought them to wear around the house--hardwood floor and carpet. They wore through in less than 2 months. Would be better if the canvas was thicker and a tighter weave. A bit disappointed, as they were comfy.

Honestly, I know nothing about how ballet shoes are supposed to fit. I got these for an adult ballet/ stretch class. They seem very well made. They're a little tight on my toe, but maybe they're supposed to be, or maybe they'll stretch out. They have a drawstring that works well to customize the fit. They look like the picture & the description and you can't beat the price.

I wear 6.5 street shoe and bought these in a 37 per their recommendation. They were really wide, despite my wide feet! I like my ballet slippers to fit snugly, and even though these are canvas, they do stretch a bit & conform to your foot. I’m returning.

It's at least 2 sizes smaller than it label on the description. I bought the option with prime; however, when I decided to return it, the prime icon was gone. So I need to take it to the post office and spend about $4 to return it which is not cost-effective. Please think twice when you place an order.

Bought a bunch of these to marbleize for a craft. The craft worked great on the canvas project but the sizing was so off for all the girls I purchased for. I found they size is really inconsistent from one shoe to the next even on the same sizes so just be prepared to order several sizes or multiple of the same and find the one that works best.

My daughter needed something inexpensive for a play, and I was glad to find these. They are well made, and do the trick. Size "1 M US Little Kid" was perfect for an 8-year-old.

The canvas dance shoe has split sole that I prefer for comfort and flexibility. They look much nicer than expected. I look forward to using for indoor exercise.
