SOLVED! How to hold small brush heads in this sanitizer
I've been using this SteriClean FAMILY UV Toothbrush Sanitizer for almost a month now. I'd been happy enough with my old VioLife VIO100 sanitizer, but wanted to try out a new style with the UV bulb on top of the device, as opposed to in the cup. Overall, I think the bulb in this Oral SteriClean does a great job: it's BIG and BRIGHT, so I'm assuming it has good UV power? My main challenge - as mentioned by several other posters - was how to hold the small brush heads on devices made by OralB and SonicCare f'instance. Well folks, I've SOLVED it! I just went to my local office supply store and bought a few rubber fingers. Yup, these perforated, grippy little fingertips hold a small brush head perfectly - as you can see for yourself in my photos. So don't hesitate to buy this sanitizer, but get a few rubber fingers to hold your brush heads. Um, note to product development at Oral SteriClean: you might want to partner with OfficeMax, hnh? >:-) Or maybe just come up with a better way to hold small brush heads in your own sanitizer.

I really like this product.
Just got this yesterday and have only used it a couple of times. Can't speak to its longevity but I really like the styling. Because the UV light is toward the top and toothbrushes insert handle down. Very easy to see what is going on with the brush head. The brushes are complete enclosed by the unit if you close the door. The one I had prior which lasted for years was battery operated and you put in the brushes head down. Needed close inspection to see what was at the bottom of the unit where the brush heads were. I wasn't sure that I would like an electric unit but I think it will work great. An on/off switch might be better than just having it go on and off by closing the door, but only time will tell.Update: I gave this 4 stars initially because I really loved the design. I was hesitant to give it 5 stars because of some reviews I had read about it's reliability. I can only say now that I like this so much that even if it stops working I will simply purchase another one. It is that good.

Best money I ever spent.
I've had this product for six weeks now. I bought it because I finally figured out my toothbrush was making me sick. No matter how well you rinse a toothbrush, germs remain which grow and multiply. Not to mention the germs your brush picks up by sitting in the open inside your bathroom...it's hard to even think about. Anyway, I was getting sick with four to six sinus infections a year. All the trips to the doctor, antibiotics, time off work and time spent feeling lousy...I knew I had to find a solution. After doing some research I found that UV lights kills the germs on toothbrushes. I really liked the design of this one: not only does it have the UV, but it is an enclosed design protecting the brush and handle from "bathroom" air. The only down side to this particular device: I sometimes have to close the door a couple of times to get the light to come on. They really should make this switch a little more sensitive. Otherwise an excellent design!

2nd one I've ordered within a year and this one DIDN'T LAST 2 MONTHS!
I used this product for its' intended purpose of sterilizing and maintaining my toothbrushes and dental brushes. Unfortunately, the first model I ordered came with a DC cable that was easily damaged and fell apart within 6 months; so I saw that the DC connecting cable had been redesigned and the new one looked sturdier. Not wanting to risk that the power adapter would not work with the first model I had; I decided to order the entire product again. THIS TIME, the PRODUCT ITSELF just STOPPED WORKING (PERIOD) after about 2 months. I did NOT send it back simply because I was so disgusted with this product (2 of them and not ONE YEAR WORTH OF USE) THAT I SIMPLY tossed one out and held on to the other with a pray and a "JUST IN CASE" it decides to give me BACK MY/THE VALUE of what I paid for it. Totally DISAPPOINTED.

Good product with proper maintenance
I like this product. I saw some ppl saying that it gets moldy, well, it does if you don't clean it. I won't blame my kids or husband for not drying their toothbrushes. The water drips to the bottom of it, but when I do my regular bathroom cleaning I take it apart and give it's appropriate wipe too. Needs maintenance just like the rest of your appliances. It is very easy to take apart and put back together, it's not like it's a hassle or time consuming to do it.

I like it a lot
I like it a lot. Have owned for years now. But requires sterilizing underneath the bristle/light area. Water accumulates and causing bacteria and black mold. Clean out throughly at least once a year. A better solution would be a small fan unit that evac'd the thing of moisture as much as possible. It could also have a uv light that reaches the brush handles. I may very well try and rig one of these myself.

Finally A Toothbrush Sanitizer That I Am Happy With.
I have owned several brands of toothbrush sanitizers over the years and this is the one I like best.I read lots of reviews before deciding on this one. It does not take up a lot of space on my bathroom counter-top. It holds 4 toothbrushes and will accommodate my Phillips Diamondclean brush head which is an important feature to me. As soon as you slide the door shut the UV light activates. I especially like the removable bottom which allows me to clean out any excess water that may accumulate. I am happy with this product and hope it lasts a long time. I have only had it about 2 weeks but so far I could not be happier with it. I would recommend this sanitizer.

Broke after six months, grows mold
We purchased two of these, one for each bathroom. After six months, one no longer works. The UV part works OK, however water from the handle drips down to the bottom and mold grows there. The bottom removes and is cleanable but getting the entire holder clean is difficult.
