I got ride of regular shampoos 4 years ago. I swear my hair took 1.5 years to adjust.I tried apple cider vinegar with baking soda and I didn't like it.I've used several soup nut shampoos, that I ordered online. They were okay, not bad. I still intended to continue buying them, until I discovered this product. I even made my own soap nut shampoo and it worked.I also switch to various simple olive soap bars for my hair, which I also liked.The soap nut shampoos and olive oil soap bars, work pretty good. My scalp got heather. I can no longer go back to regular shampoos. My scalp protests.I've also tried several shampoos form Whole Foods and Sprouts. And saw my scalp improve with the following. My favorite are:--Aubrey Organics used to have a shampoo that was made with yucca root--Desert Essence Tea Tree Lemon Shampoo--Zion Health has Adama Minerals; Innovative Natural Clay shampoosOrganic Soapberry Shampoo lemongrass, is the best, hands down. This fermented soap nut shampoo is unique, my scalp was no longer shiny after washing it. On the second day, my oils came in, but very thin, not thick and gunky. My scalp is still not shiny even on 2nd day of not washing. Your hair comes out squeaky clean, but soft. Usually with natural shampoos and bar shampoos my hair comes out wiry. I got used to the wiry texture, what I cared about was the health of my scalp.A bonus!!!! The soap nut shampoo, got all over my skin and left the rest of my skin very soft. It's like no other shampoo I have tired.I may still switch between the other shampoos and bar soaps, only because of the cost.

I have had chronic staph infections for close to 30 years. I don't like taking antibiotics, but every year or so one would progress to the point that I had to go see a doctor. This soap seems to have cured those problems for me. I have been using it for about a year now, and have had only a couple of infections. In both cases, the infection was small (like a whitehead pimple) and went away within a day or 2. In the past, any infections would take a week or more to clear up and generally get worse before they got better.

This product is amazing. I am highly allergic to coconut which ALL shampoos have, except this one and it works great!

I suffer from seborrheic dermatitis and would consider my case to be moderate. Prior to using this shampoo I had tried prescription shampoos, nizoral, head & shoulders, as well as piroctone olamine, coal tar, and tea tree shampoos. Medicated shampoos were a quick relief, but the results never lasted & they weren’t addressing the underlying issue. For those of us with SD, research suggests an imbalance in the skin microbiome of the affected areas. For this reason, I believe, is what makes this probiotic formula unique, and why it so effective in treating my SD. I still have occasional flares, but nowadays I am able to go a day or two without washing! When I was using medicated shampoos I had to wash my hair at least daily, sometimes 2 times a day just to stop the itching & burning. Plus the medicated shampoo was so hard on my hair & stripped my color! This shampoo leaves my hair the healthiest and shiniest it’s ever been! I highly recommend it to anyone, especially to those fighting topical microbial imbalances like SD!

This shampoo along with the conditioner has allowed me to stop using head and shoulders after 15 years. I left a review on the conditioner page to explain application of both products. I've found they work best used together with the conditioner being used as a leave in scalp treatment. This shampoo cleans my oily scalp well and leaves my hair fresh and bouncy. It's rebalanced my scalp when used with the conditioner so I don't get nearly as oily, and it keeps my hair from smelling funky in between washes. Definitely a bonus! The shampoo and conditioner last much longer then the body wash so price shouldn't be as much of an issue. I recommend the whole line!

I have naturally slightly curly, tangly hair. I’ve used this product for about a year. In that time I’ve used about a bottle and a half, so it lasts awhile. I have waist length hair, and I need maybe a quarter size or half dollar size amount. I’m very sensitive to products and this never made me itch or gave me hives. It’s surprisingly cleansing for a natural shampoo. Unfortunately, because of that it started to dry out my already dry hair. I still use it, but only occasionally. If you don’t have very dry hair, it shouldn’t be a problem. I still love the conditioner, it detangles well and makes a great, non greasy leave in.

I have tried a few organic non toxic shampoos and this is my favorite out of all of them. Most of them are watery or it doesn’t get soapy suds while washing and it feels like you use so much to still not feel clean. This shampoo is not like that at all and it is lasting longer because it is a thicker consistency and is doing its job of making my hair clean. Now I know the description states it has a formented smell and I was worried. When I got it and smelled it in the bottle, to me it smelled like Elmer’s glue lol. Still worried, but used it and it was like magic. After cleaning and drying my hair, it smelled good. It didn’t smell like the bottle thankfully or glue all my hair together lol. I can’t describe the clean smell but I enjoy it. Still waiting on the conditioner (have been using only shampoo right now). Hoping to love it just as much!

This product has proven to be a holy grail for both my son and myself who have severely sensitive psoriatic skin. It is incredibly gentle on the skin. Does not leave any residue and rinsed out clean. Very neutral fragrance and sud s well without the use of harmful chemicals like sulfate and parabens. Highly recommended general head to toe full body cleanser.
