In all of my many years of dealing with vendors, seldom have I had the pleasure of experiencing such stellar support as I have from this Chinese company. I was initially leery, but now I am sold. I purchased two encoders (H.264 and H.264/H.265) plus one H.264/H.265 decoder. I initially faced some slight technical issues with the HDMI interface and admin page, but they were quick and efficient in both providing me with a firmware patch and then providing live support (through TeamViewer) to resolve the remaining problems. I also asked them how I could purchase 3 "U.K. type/Type G" power adapters and they went ahead and offered to send me 3 unit for free !What great service!Now all units are working flawlessly at perfect HD quality.Great operation, great quality, great service. Who could ask for anything more?

Try as I might, I couldn't get it to work on the video system at church. So I'm trying to use it to stream from home. Not sure I will get there.

Feeding 1080p / 30 from a remote studio to our switching location via HEVC with this box. Picture is good, but audio encoder has horrible artifacts regardless of codec, bitrate, sample rate, etc. Sounds like clipping and sibilance distortion, but isn't - definitely encoder generated. Audio going in is clean and well below the level at which the encoder hardware clips. Using the analog input (3.5mm TRS). I'm a broadcast engineer, so I have experience with this stuff. I don't know if this is fixable in firmware or if the A/D is flawed, but it's not clean. I have another hardware encoder from J-Tech and with the same encoder and settings, it's as clean as a whistle.

DHCP is off out of the box. You have to change computer IP to get into the device and turn DHCP on. HDMI in and out ports were both dead. Dont know why its listed at 248.... Wouldn't recommend this version honestly

I bought this item to test options for streaming an NVR from a remote building to a couple of TVs over Ethernet. The plan was to use an HDMI decoder on each TV monitor. They do make HDMI over IP devices for this purpose but those just don't seem to play nicely with a lot of network equipment. There are a couple of issues I have with this unit. First, the included power supply is cheap and was DOA. I had to use one of my own (of the exact same specs) in order to power up the device. This gave me a bad feeling about the unit. Next issue was getting a smooth and steady stream from the device, regardless of resetting, changing settings or resolution. The device would just stop streaming and I would have to power cycle or reboot it from the web interface. The latency is also very high with certain resolutions and bitrates. I had also tried this unit with my Panasonic GH5 to see how well it would work as a "webcam server". The latency was as high as 10 seconds in some cases. There was a point when I couldn't get any smooth video from the h.265 encoder. I had to switch to h.264 to get smooth video. After resetting a few times, it was able to stream a smooth, but unreliable feed with h.265.Network configuration isn't that difficult if you know how to assign IP addresses to computers. Fortunately, my network is on the same subnet as this device and the IP is not taken. Unfortunately, they have the device default to a static IP instead of DHCP. It is recommended to plug this into the Ethernet port of your laptop (if you have one) and assign the IP manually. It should be assigned by DHCP by default. This would allow you to use a tool like Advanced IP Scanner to search for the device. They could include a software tool to search for the device and make network changes without needing to worry about the network settings. There are many ways to do this without having to be network savvy.For what this item costs, I expected it to be much easier to get going out of the box and be more reliable. I got so frustrated with it that I didn't get a chance to test the HDMI OUT to see if it worked. For this, I will be returning this unit and going with a more expensive unit from a different brand. Most of these lower end units have the same software and hardware wrapped in a different case. If I planned to deploy this for a customer, I'd be getting callback after callback.The positive side is that its small, light weight, wall mountable and runs cool. Outside of that, the issues with this unit outweigh the pros.

Works well with VLC. Seems pretty stable.

Worked fairly well, but after loading the latest firmware, it would not encode to H.265.
