After reading all the negative reviews I went back and looked at their dates, and most of them are older. Maybe Orion took notice. So far I haven’t had any issues with the guide scope, it is really nice in my opinion. But if anything goes wrong I’ll edit my review. In the pic I have cotton carefully inserted into either end to protect from dust.

The reason I like the Orion EZ Finder is because it is one of the most functional reflex red dot finders for the money and worksReally well on smaller scopes! When I say functional, I mean it is solidly built and doesn't flex around as you try to adjust it and zero its dot with the view thru your scopes eyepiece. Additionally, its red dot dims and brightens to levels that make it useful on each end of its range. Also, it comes with a dovetail mounting bracket that works with most dove tail bases found on telescopes. Otherwise, I use a Telrad or a Rigel which are both very solidly made and work just like they'd are supposed to, but tend to be more useful on bigger scopes...note: if it works out for you on a large dosonian or cassegrain scope etc (I use one on my 8" Celestron cassagrain) great! Just as long as it helps you starhop without causing undue stress and strain.

I am still trying to figure out the 2-sided tape. (I'm a beginner here and will need further help from someone down the line.) Anyhow, the EZFinder did arrive in a timely manner. Thanx

This vender has terrible customer service and ships the slowest carrier it can find. Would not do business with them again. If I ever get it I will let you know how the product works but I an not holding my breath. Follow up. Cheap junk along the lines of the Daisy bb gun red dot. Waste of money.

Much like the telrad, this works well to help zero in on objects I wish to observe. Getting it centered with my telescope takes a little work, but is worth it when searching for nebulas and clusters.

Bought this as a replacement for a broken one. It's a great finder for quickly and easily finding what you want to look at
