brother jx 2517
This didn't have a lot of reviews when I purchased it do I took a chance on it. It took a long time to come but it was worth the wait. Its an authentic brother part and you cant beat the price. Bought it for quilting on my lightweight brother jx2417 and it works great. The directions aren't clear but I just watched a video on YouTube

Wish I'd had this before now!!
This is a great foot for my machine. Wish I'd had it before this project! So easy to install and really helped with the "puckering" of the satin I was sewing. Highly recommend!!

Works great!
I did a couple of projects using the walking foot and it did just fine. No issues at all.

Easy to install and works
Though it does work and function like it’s intended it does get off track pretty easily and the construction is a little weak for thick materials. It work’s excellent for knits though!

Good product
This worked fine for my small, straight-line quilting project. The guide itself came loose from the post it's attached to but some really good, name brand glue fixed it.

Helpful sewing accessory
Several months ago I was asked to make quilts for a world relief organization. I had never quilted before, but I knew quilting needed to be precise. It was acceptable to tie the quilts but I wanted to do a bit more. This walking foot assists with pulling the layers of fabric through, and I even left it on for some basic sewing. I was able to do 6 quilts start to finish and parts of 3 more. I just need to learn more techniques and practice.

Terrible customer service
This worked okay, until it didn’t. The guide was loose, I had to remember to check it before starting the next row when quilting, because it would move if I bumped it in the slightest. It quit working after quilting two rows on my quilt. It would jump up and not come back down for several stitches every now and again, then wouldn’t stay down at all unless I held it down. I contacted customer service, I received a message to look on the internet on how to adjust it. I couldn’t find anything, so I asked customer service to provide me a link. They did, but it was a broken link. I once again contacted customer service and asked them to send me a different link, never heard from then again, and that was months ago. I ended up throwing it away and buying a different brand.
