It works for what I need it to do. I watch videos and read books on my iPad and this holder works great for both. The reason for the three stars is that the connection at the base is unstable. The iPad will move if I touch it so I can't use this holder for anything that requires frequent touching of the screen. Reading books is not bad because I only have to turn the page once every few minutes. If I find that I have done something wrong in assembling this stand, I will certainly update my review and give more stars. I welcome any suggestions about stabilizing the base connection...

prong broke off and was replaced free byseller but just broke again and tube connecting to floor piece also broke and will not staty screwed on
