Nikon School DVD - Understanding Digital Photography

Very good tutorial.

This DVD gives a good overview of some of the features that a digital SLR camera offers, and seems to be directed a those of us who have been using point-and-shoot cameras. It does a pretty good job of introducing P&S users to the most basic options that are available in an SLR, but it's only an introduction. I watched it once and may watch it again, but I'm finding that I get more information from several books that do the same thing in much greater detail. The DVD is probably as good a way as any to get started, but it won't take you very far. For that, you'll need a good book aimed at the beginning digital SLR user.

I thought the video was very good. It is broken into sections/subjects of photography and can be watched for specific information again and again. Sometimes I need to see things two or three times. The delivery and photography are very good. I enjoyed some of the tricks mentioned. Very pleased with this video.

Was hoping that this dvd has more help in it. Didnt learn much from it, as a personal whos is learning about their digital it gave me no help. waste of money.

I find this DVD very helpful and very informative specially for the first time user of the Nikon D40, D40X & D60. I would suggest to everyone who has these camera or planning to have one to look into this DVD.

Compliments the Nikon DVD for the D5000. Very inexpensive and worth keeping in camera bag for reviewing tips.

This Dvd has been put together very well. It covers the basics and the instructions can apply to other Digital cameras not just the Nikon. I would highly recommend this Dvd. Excellent value for money.

As a lecturer in photography, I would recommend this disc for people wanting a good introduction to photography, as part of learning to understand and gain maximum benefit from a persons camera.While this disc is aimed at Nikon owners, other brand camera owners can also benefit.
