Shipment Disaster
Placed a very large order but it was packaged so poorly that I could not use a number of boxes of the products - the boxes appeared to have gotten damp and were smashed by the weight of boxes on top of them - no peanuts or bubble wrap in the box so the individual boxes were destroyed. This was for a large corporate meeting and the order was a disaster - NEVER AGAIN.

Didn't realize corn syrup was 'essential' to start my day
Corn syrup, corn syrup and more corn syrup.... Come on Carnation... 2 of these bars equals the daily maximum recommended sugar intake by the World Health Organization. With the adolescent obesity problem you want us to feed our kids these? Or anyone for that matter. Who cares if you added vitamins! These companies need to stop being allowed to advertise products that are so blatantly bad for you as healthy. Consumers need to wake up and realize it's not the calories or fat content making you over weight, it's the sugar. Wake up and do some research and do your kids a favor and don't feed them this junk.

IF you looking for the old bars.....KEEP Looking, these are not them!
Carnation was kind enough to send me sample of these bars after requesting them to bring back the old bars. I am a child of the 80's and still remember how the old bars tasted. I was SO EXCITED to receive these new bars. I took a bite of the Peanut Butter flavor and after a few chews...spit it out in the garbage. I waited a few days and then tried the chocolate flavor (Amazon doesn't seem to be offering these) and while these were more palatable then the peanut butter version, they left a horrible aftertaste in my mouth. Now, lets talk about the price. I remember my mother buying the old ones by the box (like a box of granola bars) and I'm sure they didn't cost over $1.00 each (even with inflation). There is NO WAY I would pay a premium price for these bars and I'm not even sure I would eat a free one if offered to me again.
