My youngest daughter definitely has some issues goes on, sensory wise. I've long suspected her food aversion were sensory related and that the sensory issues she was having were affecting her speech (she doesn't talk). I was researching for how to deal with oral sensitivity and came across this product. I admit, I was extremely skeptical. But I was also desperate. So I bit the bullet and made the purchase.Everything you need to get started comes with this. One mouth piece/attachment, a userguide that also shares a list of available products, and the battery. Be sure you turn it all the way off when done using it or the battery will get used up pretty quickly ;) I didn't get the one with the carrying case but got a soft pencil case instead, which holds this and the extra attachments I bought perfectly.THE RESULTSI try not to go on and on in my reviews, so I'll get to the part that any parent or caregiver/service provider would want to know before making this purchase. This was a game changer for us. Within a couple days of starting to use this, my daughter was making new vocal sounds and eating foods more foods with textures. Foods we had tried to feed her many times before and she had rejected. Now, I suppose it could be a coincidence, but if it is, it's a pretty big one, because this is something we have been struggling with for almost a year. And then within days of using this, those problems lessened DRASTICALLY.I will say I need to be more vigilant about using this. As for how my daughter reacted to it, we took it slow. At first she just wanted to touch her lips to it, and then pull back right away. She didn't like it. But yet she kept trying it, until eventually she was holding it in her mouth. She seems to like it now. We have gotten a few attachments and a more advance user guide since, and I want to work on delving in more to see if we have another burst of growth with the help of this product.
