This is a great concept but the actual band that goes around the head should be adjustable. The chin strap kept it from flying away but does not keep it in place on your head.

I had an umbrella hat in the 70's.Was so glad to see they are still available. Wanted something tokeep the sun off in the pool.Love it but I will take the elasticup a little as I have a small head.The strap helps a lot to hold it on.

I wish it were better made for daily use...the headband isn't adjustable and once the elasticity of the band goes bad...you have nothing to work with.. Make a better one..it's useful and for those in the South...keeps your head cooler than any hat , including pith helmuts..

Everyone laughed at my umbrella hat, but I had the last laugh when they were all soaked, and my hair was still fabulously untouched. It is tight, wish they had different sizes.

I never feed hummingbirds after the end of August because they need to migrate. They nest in a huge dogwood we have and last year, they would not leave. We get a LOT of rain in SW Washington, so I remembered this hat from back in the day and looked it up. When it arrived (bought camo to go with the landscape and not scare the birds), I cut a small hole in the top to slip it over the hook and then nailed half of it under the sofit. Then I hung the feeder back up. They could fly in and out of their covered restaurant and not skip a beat. Fed them through the winter and well, I guess they're extended family now.

One piece came put first day of use

Bought two of these for my daughter and her husband who use wheelchairs. Now they have hands-free umbrellas. When I saw she was using one day, I was delighted. She looked marvelous.

I love this hat. Not only is it waterproof and sun reflective, it’s big enough to keep the sun off my face and neck. It’s actually quite comfortable and lightweight.One thing I would like to see is a vent of some type at the peak. I wore it in 30° weather with very little breeze and it was a bit like wearing a solar oven on my head. For hot stagnant days, I feel it would really benefit having a release for that heated air.Side note: Not for super windy days! 😂😂
