Arrived on time, quick to replace just using allen keys wrench.
Direct replacement rear lamp, and now operating correctly. For easy access, remove the mud guard.

Nice tail light
I've used it not on a e-scooter but as a rear light on a e-bike by 3D printing a support for the saddle tube. It is not very bright as a battery powered light, but the fact that the leds are oriented to the cover which is internally painted in white instead of being oriented to the red glass makes the light more diffused. It works with 6V and has only 2 wires.

Not very bright
I bought this rear light for an Ebike not a Xiomi scooter. My Ebike is 36v so I researched the the controllers light output voltage on the scooter it was intended for and 36v was stated. I had to cut off the connector for my purpose, invalidating the warranty. Thought I would run the voltage up slowly on a bench power supply. I found it was slightly brighter at 5v than 36v but still very dull. I suspect the light output on the Xiomi scooter is 5v for this reason. But at no point was the light bright enough in my opinion. I didn't buy one of the super cheap lights on Ebay for this scooter as I've learnt before that Chinese parts can look the same but be very different in quality. Had hoped at this price from a UK distributor it would have a Cree LED.
