Carob Drops, Sugar Free, Unsweetened (16 oz, ZIN: 525698) - 3 Pack

Our family loves carob chips, but they're getting harder and harder to find in our local stores, especially the unsweetened ones. I was hesitant to order online because I live in southern CA and we were in the middle of a triple digit heatwave. But the package arrived and not a single carob chip had melted! I store these in the fridge and use them for everything from cake in a mug recipes to cocoa to carob chip cookies. The grandkids love them as a snack mixed with nuts. Very pleased with this purchase and will buy these again.

Best unsweetened carob chips I've ever had. Creamier and tastier than most.I use brown rice syrup to sweeten the treats I make with them. I also eat them right out of the bag

Fantastic!! I have a chocolate allergy that developed later in life and am so happy I can have chocolate chip cookies again thanks to these carob drops! They are identical to chocolate chips and have a great taste!

I teach weight control, and I eat 2 squares daily of dark chocolate for its anti-oxidant value -- BUT, it contains caffeine which I don't like. Thought I'd try these -- the flavor is that of burnt chickory with only the slightest hint of chocolate flavor. Not a good value if they don't achieve the intent of getting off of chocolate. Instead, I'm going to continue to use the actual chocolate (Lindt 70%) that I've mentioned here (for my students also!). A small sweet like this each day can keep you going if you're working on weight-loss. Unfortunately, this carob didn't work, but I thank the manufacturer for trying. I am on the AIP meal plan. I heard about 'carob chip cookies' I could make without grain, sugar, soy, nuts, dairy, or eggs. I bought these chips, so happy that they were unsweetened. I made the cookies and they were SO yummy. However, after looking at the ingredient list, I noticed there was soy lecithin in the chips. I hopefully can get a brand of chips that meets all my dietary restrictions. Like I said, they are delicious, but I have to 'cheat' on the meal plan in order to enjoy the yumminess!

I bought these for my daughter with health problems. She loves chocolate but can no long we eat it. I’ve found carob chocolate powder that tastes very similar.Thought these expensive drops might be a great substitute. She took one taste and said the texture was good but it tasted like “burnt licorice”. Sadly they can’t be returned.
